Welcome to Kanazawa!!
A city of ancient Japanese culture and traditions.

While Kyoto is the ancient Japanese capital associated with royal court culture, Kanazawa boasts many historical sites as one of the few Japanese ancient cities steeped in the traditional Japanese warrior culture.

Kanazawa boasts four beautiful seasons, as well as many historical sites such as the Kenroku-en garden, famous for its autumn leaves and "yukitsuri. " Kanazawa's " Chaya Machi " brings ancient tea house culture to the modern era, and the "21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa" is a popular attraction known throughout Japan.

Kanazawa is known as the home to many traditional crafts, including Kaga Yuzen (silk dyeing), Kutani Ceramics, Kanazawa-Haku (gold leaf) and other lacquerware and inlaid artwork. Kanazawa offers many opportunities for art appreciation and shopping.

Kanazawa is also famous as a city of food connoisseurs. We encourage all of our guests to take advantage of opportunities to enjoy the wealth of local, fresh ingredients and expert culinary skills for which the region is so well known.

A short trip outside Kanazawa will find you at the foothills of Mt. Haku-san, one of the three most famous peaks in Japan. The Noto "Chirihama Drive Way" is another nearby attraction, where visitors can drive along the beach in their own cars. Kanazawa is home to these and many other wonderful scenic locations.
