Kanazawa Lacquerware is an artisan craft born during the era of Maeda Toshitsune, third lord of Kanazawa.
This lacquerware is considered to be unique in its blend of elegant beauty derived from the culture of aristocracy and strength
of form derived from the warrior culture, and the original techniques have been handed down unchanged through the centuries.
The small jewel boxes in each guest room are lacquerware originals made exclusively for our hotel.
These boxes are made of wood covered in many layers of lacquer, and decorated with gilded natural patterns.
Be sure to open the box to see what treasure lies inside.
The Favor of Mt. Haku-san
in the refrigerator of every guest room is a free bottle of the local Mt. Haku-san mineral water.
